LATAR BELAKANG LEBIH LANJUT DARI DOA INI Nabi Ibrahim AS menyebut ayahnya yang merupakan orang musyrik dalam doa ini karena dia sudah berjanji akan berdoa kepada Allah agar ia diampuni. Maka tatkala ia menyadari bahwa bapaknya itu adalah musuh Allah, maka dia berlepas diri dari memohonkan ampunan-Nya.
